Can You "Step Up" to the Plate ?

The Promenade is always looking for Gentlemen who are interested in being Dance Hosts for our Special Events.  The more Dance Hosts that take part, the more Single Ladies will attend all of our dances.
 

What do we look for in a Host? 

• They should be well groomed, well mannered and dressed appropriately for the event.

• They should arrive by 9:00 and stay until at least 11:30 p.m.

• They should be able to dance at an Intermediate Level or Higher in the Social Ballroom Dances of Waltz, Fox Trot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Tango, Swing or more.

• They should "Dance the Room", taking turns with ALL the Ladies in the Single Dancer Section.

• They should dance to 80% of the dances the entire evening.

• They should engage in pleasant conversation while on and off the dance floor.

• At the start of each dance, unless they have promised it to a specific Lady, they should stand patiently to the side to see who has not been asked to dance before asking anyone else.

• At the end of the dance they should walk their partner back to her seat with a pleasant smile and a "Thank You".

Rewards:

• Hosts will receive free admission to the Special Event they are Hosting.

• Plus two free admissions to our Regular Dance Parties, to be used at later dates.

• They will have the pleasure of bringing an evening of smiles to some of the loveliest Ladies in town.
